I won an Artist's Booth at the 2010 Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco! I had a great time, although it was a long day. Hundreds of people saw my work and there were many, “Oh look at this!” I gave out ~130 flyers, showing some of my best and most outrageous work. Saw some old friends, maybe made some new ones, made some money. Some action at my booth. BTW, the rack he's looking at has only pictures of women. And across the street. Since I had to tend to my booth in 2010, those were the only pictures I made. But here are some pictures of previous Folsoms. I'm surely the last to post pictures of the 2009 Fair, but here are some. There are always lots of naked men and there are always police to provide a presence and enforce order when someone has too much to drink. There are always plenty of bare chested women, some who cover their nipples and some who do not. But this is the first time I saw a few naked women. This young lady, who had her body painted, was hawking a product called "Lugez". This "ice mold" is a container with a penis shaped spout; you pour your beverage of choice into the container and drink it cold from the penis spout. This was actually made at the 2004 Fair, but the fellow on the right attends each year. There were several vendors who attracted attention to their booths by presenting flogging demonstrations, including Mr S Leather. The demonstrations were not simulated. Showing off. There were people in costume. Some in wheelchairs. Fire eaters! She did eat fire! I'll be back next year. |
